April 2018 fishing wide open! Sturgeon and Stripers

Xtreme-Angling hit the waters once again after two amazing weekends.

This weekend we had a scheduled combo Stripers and Sturgeon for an additional cost. Within 1.5 hours we landed 12 Stripers which included three double hookups. Fish were caught both trolling and live bait.

After the early striper limits we ran off to the sturgeon grounds. To find hot action landing 8 fish.

this one was 73″

A total of Three were oversized ( Longer then then 60.”)

Sunday 4-29-18.

Windy day, but I teamed up with Chris Saiz the owner of C4 Custom Rods and Dustin Pestana operator of Death Row Sportfishing to jump in on the hot bite. We tucked out of the wind for the outgoing tide and were able to land 4 fish 3 of them being awesome Slot fish. 58.5 inch and 56 inch fat fish.

Once the tide shifted to incoming, we adjusted our location and were able to land 4 more fish with 3 of those being nice slot fish which were all released.

All in all it was an awesome fish catching weekend. The Stripers were caught with deep diving Yozuri crystal minnows and live jumbo minnows on the outgoing tide in 12- 20 feet of water on the San Joaquin River.

The sturgeon were caught in 24-28ft of water on both incoming and outgoing tides in the Suisun Bay watershed. I was using salmon roe for bait.

Dustin with a nice slot fish.

I’m booked solid but may have openings come available on short notice.

The month of April has been wide open and I believe May will remain excellent.

Thanks for reading. See ya on the water.
