Collins Lake Fishing 12/31/13

Image

Xtreme-Angling hit the waters of Collins Lake again on New Years Eve for a day of trout fishing. Just like last time it took a little while to find the fish, but once we found them we landed 14 before calling it quits and lost several near the boat. We did not have as many  strikes as the previous trip which but we still had a very successful day on the water. The fish were from the surface down to 15ft of water. We were trolling Arctic Fox Trolling Flies and Berkley Powerbait 2″ grubs.  This was a fun trip with consistent action.

Tip: Once you find the area the fish are in, stay nearby and continue to make sweeps through that general area and your amount of hookups will increase. Vary your speed until you find the speed the fish want.

I am offering a winter time special where kids fish for free with the purchase of a 2 adult trip..   This is a great opportunity to get the whole family out on the water for a fun filled day and introducing children to joy and fun of not only fishing but being in the outdoors and out on the water in a boat.
